Here the connection between the printer and your computer can be set up automatically. Follow the procedures displayed on the screen.
When the installation fails to advance and the Printer Connection screen is still displayed:
First try "Solution 1" below.
Ensure that the printer is securely connected to the computer. If the connection seems secure but the problem still remains, try step 2 below.
Turn off the printer.
Unplug the connecting cable from the printer, and then connect it again.
Turn on the printer.
If the installation still fails to advance beyond this point, try reinstalling the driver following the instructions below:
Solution 2
On the Printer Connection screen, click Cancel.
When the Installation Failure screen is displayed, click Start Over.
When the Easy Install / Custom Install screen is displayed, click Back.
Click Exit, and then remove the CD-ROM.
Turn off the printer.
Restart the computer.
Reinstall the printer driver following the procedures described in your Start Guide.
